The traitors suffered more casualties from the second land raider formation, a squadron of predators and finally the eldritch and silent Silver Towers of Magnus. These deadly machines wrought devastation on the guard who fled. leaving the objective unmanned.
The traitor general, seeing the small numbers of Astartes launched an artillery fire at the predators, ordered his super heavies up the flank to oppose the land raiders and fired a death strike at the land raiders - one of them vanishing from the battlefield. The formation of Leman Russes advanced and destroyed the predators in the middle of the city. The Alpha legion assault marines advanced to the middle of the board under the support fire from thrie tactical commrades.
Turn 2 saw the Imperial reinforcements arrive, a formation of Thousand Sons terminators and a full retinue of Thousand Sons teleporting in with Ahriman. The Silver towers seized their chance and opened up on theleman russes, taking 7 down with combined fire. The Thousand Sons retinue engaged the lone baneblade and destroyed it with concentrated fire.
