The Xenos in question were the Eldar, an ever present thorn in the side of mankind.
The battlefield was an ancient Xenos homeworld that was perfect for trench warfare at which the marines can excel with their superior armour and numbers.
The Emperor has declared them Exterminatus and his sons will act out his will...
Little did the loyal marines know but the Xenos tricked them and lured them into narrow fire lanes where they could bring in their excellent close combat troops (Harlequins and Howling Banshees) and overwhelm the marines.
Result: Win for the Xenos
